Easter Dinner (April 8th) - View Menu

Zi’ Pep was named after Pep’s Bar & Grill, an Italian restaurant in in the East New York section of Brooklyn, open through the early 1970’s. "Pep’s" was a neighborhood hangout and filled with some of NY’s most iconic politicians and celebrities.

Owner Gerard Renny, whose family owned "Pep’s" brought Zi’ Pep to 9th Street because of the similarities between East New York and The East Village. Three decades ago, both were predominantly Italian neighborhoods. Having grown up in Italian households, Executive Chef Paul Di Bari and Renny developed a love for Italian cooking and its emphasis on family. Zi’ Pep’s menu features regionally-inspired Southern Italian dishes like Grilled Sardines, Pasta e Ceci and a spin on classics like Veal Cutlet and Chicken Marsala, while the wine list celebrates sustainable/organic and bio-dynamic farming.

Zi’ Pep is influenced by Chef Di Bari & Renny’s Italian upbringing and life's little moments synonymous with food.
